This new release comes with a number of enhancements and bug fixes:

1. A new licensing scheme has been applied to Version 8.0 such that a new license must be obtained in order to use the downloaded version.

2. New patients can no longer be added in Contacts > Patients > All Patients by the default example users in Facility 1 and Facility 2.

3. Server path detection in the system has been enhanced to make it work for multiple Apache Alias configurations.

4. The location dropdown displayed above Dashboard > Summary > Today's Visits grid now shows "..." at the end if the text is too long.

5. A new body surface area (BSA) data field has been added to Encounter > Vitals page. This auto-calculated value is displayed in Encounter > Progress Note and Visit Summary as well.
BSA (meter squared) = 0.007184 * pow(height in cm, 0.725) * pow(weight in kg, 0.425)
BSA (foot squared) = calculated BSA * 10.764

6. Contacts > Address Book can now be used to store your own insurers. The auto-filled Payer Name for an insurer is displayed and saved in Contacts > Patients > All Patients > Insurance Information page.

7. A loading icon has been added to Patient Header > Documents edit page to show the file uploading process.

8. The images displayed in Encounter > Physical Exam have been enhanced so that only those with annotations are saved.

9. New variables associated with Contacts > Address Book can now be set up in Preferences > Tools > Letter Templates and applied in Exchange > Letters. The existing patient-related variables have also been changed to avoid any confusion. See Page 64 of Solismed User Guide (in Help > Topics) for a complete listing.

10. A fax button has been added to Encounter > Referral edit page and Exchange > Letters edit page respectively.

11. Patient Instructions (Page 3) of the Lab, Radiology, and Referral orders are now excluded when they are sent to Exchange > Faxes as attachments. Service providers receiving the faxed orders do not need these patient instructions.

12. ICD-10 codes have been updated to 2025 version. US healthcare providers shall start using this version on October 1.

13. snomedct_icd10cm_map database has been updated to the current version.
